Based on the soldering configuration, these types of cartridges are distinguished - their marking is determined by the first letters of the English name of the form:

• RL (Round Liner) is the most popular oval commissure in permanent hair removal. All needles are soldered along a rounded arc - this version of the cartridge is chosen to create clear contours and detailed drawing of fine strokes.
• RS (Round Shader) is a universal option, most often used by hardware tattoo artists. The needles are soldered into a tight circle, leaving a round color on the skin - used for high-quality shading and shadow work.
• RM (Round Magnum) - a variant of flat soldering, consists of needles of different lengths. The points of the needles are arranged in a semicircle so that the central part penetrates deeply into the skin, and the outer parts penetrate to a minimum distance. This type of cartridge provides not very clear coloring - suitable for light shading. By the way, this is one of the safest and least traumatic types of needles!
• M (Magnum) – painting needles located parallel to each other come in two modifications: M1 with a dense arrangement of needles in 1 row – used for shading and forming soft transitions, a cartridge with needles in 2 rows (M2) – for dense coloring of the skin.
• F (Flat) – dense flat welding of needles in 1 row is intended for deep introduction of pigment. Such cartridges are used to obtain pronounced contours, shading and/or filling.

Type of sharpening of needles in a cartridge

This parameter is determined by the length of the tip of the tattoo needle - all types of sharpening are conventionally divided into 3 groups:

• LT (Long) - long sharp point about 7.5 mm, suitable for small diameter piercings to create elegant fine lines and pixels.
• MT (Middle) - average type of sharpening about 3.5 mm, universal option - suitable for almost all jobs.
• ST (Short) needles are the most “short-sharpened” (one might say “dull” tool). Such needles make a puncture of a large diameter - a cartridge with such markings is ideal for dense coloring.
• T (Texture) – this is how needles with a textured sharpening are marked; they have a sort of corrugated surface. Due to this configuration, the needle captures a larger amount of pigment and is used to create wide lines along the contour.

It should be added that cartridges with needles of long LT and medium MT sharpening are considered universal by permanent makeup artists - suitable for pixel coloring, powder and nano spraying. Moreover, fine sharpening LT is more often used for dry thin skin, and needles with medium sharpening MT are used for manipulating oily skin.
