Kwadron cartridges: perfection in tattooing

Kwadron cartridges: perfection in tattooing

No one can know more about the art of tattooing than an experienced tattoo artist knows about it.

This is exactly what Radoslav Rakvel, the founder of the Kwadron company, was once - an experienced and very talented tattoo artist. Great luck for everyone who uses the products of this brand today is that Rakvel’s talent as a businessman turned out to be no less than his talent as an artist. Thanks to this successful combination, his brainchild - the Kwadron brand - very quickly gained popularity, and the equipment and materials of the same name became synonymous with the highest professionalism. But in this article we will focus on a separate product category and tell you what Kwadron cartridges are.

The secret of Kwadron's popularity

Premium quality is what is characteristic of all Quadron tattoo cartridges, and this is what artists around the world value them for. The secret of this unconditionality was the full production cycle of cartridges and needles: in the process of their manufacture, the company uses only its own developments, equipment, materials and everything that is necessary to create high-quality products.

Thanks to this approach, it became possible to have complete control over each stage of production, while using high (and very strict!) own quality standards.

Another component of Kwadron’s success is the use of high-tech materials and equipment. The process of soldering, sharpening, etc. is carried out on ultra-modern computer-controlled machines. And the software, which controls the exceptional accuracy of all product parameters, is recognized even among experts as one of the best in the world.

Unfortunately, a detailed story about Kwadron technologies is impossible - they are a trade secret that the company does not share with anyone. And continues to maintain its status as one of the leading brands in the tattoo industry.

General overview of Kwadron needles

The first and most important thing you need to know about Kwadron needles and cartridges is that they are suitable for literally any type of work. The assortment is so extensive that even masters practicing in the style of photorealism, which requires jewelry precision of strokes and lines, will find everything they need from Quadron. And how important every detail is for the company is evidenced by a separate product line, OPTIMA. It is designed exclusively for permanent makeup: the length and shape of the sharpening, the type of soldering and the number of needles in the cartridge, the outline of how the needles are assembled into one module, etc. are created specifically for this direction. This is necessary for working with the most delicate areas of the face, for thin and sensitive skin, for introducing pigments strictly to a given depth.

Features of OPTIMA cartridges Cartridges

Quadron is a combination of truly unique high-tech characteristics:

  • The needles installed in the cartridges are made of the highest quality medical steel. Thanks to this, all parameters (length, angle, sharpening shape, tip thickness, etc.) remain unchanged even during the longest tattoo session.
  • The cartridge body is made of medical plastic, which is characterized by exceptional resistance to friction. This means that during operation, translational and rotational movements transmitted from the machine will not cause “shedding” of the material and plastic microparticles will not get into the skin. This is one of the reasons why the recovery period after using the Optima series is quick and easy for the client - there are no prerequisites for poor healing.
  • Impeccable sharpening quality. This characteristic of Optima ensures the most accurate introduction of pigment into the skin with minor damage to its surface. A very thin tip allows you to minimize the trauma of the process and, as a result, reduce discomfort for the client and speed up skin recovery after the session.

Types of Kwadron OPTIMA needles according to their purpose

This category of Kwadron products - cartridges and needles - can be divided into two main groups - liners and shaders. Within each individual category, there are their own classifications based on the type of soldering, which actually forms the outline of the needles in one module. Kwadron tattoo cartridges use generally accepted markings, but supplemented with purely “tattoo” designations - it is important to know them in order to accurately select the models you need.

Classification by diameter

This criterion is indicated by the first numbers in the cartridge labeling. The number 30 will mean the needle diameter is 0.3 mm, 40 - 0.4 mm, etc. This criterion is important for the type of work performed:

  • universal diameter, which is suitable for most jobs - 0.3 mm;
  • for painting you need to choose a needle diameter of 0.35 mm;
  • for the most precise and thin strokes, a diameter of 0.2 mm is recommended;
  • for fine and delicate lines - 0.25 mm.

Also, the diameter of the needles should be taken into account when working with different types and characteristics of skin. Thus, needles with a diameter of 0.25 mm can be used for shading on very dry or aging skin. And the larger diameter allows you to more accurately apply pigment to problem skin - oily, porous. This classification will be useful to you both in tattooing and in the field of tattooing, since the art of tattooing also often uses very subtle artistic techniques that require exceptional, jeweler-like precision in the application of pigments.

Classification by the number of needles in the module

This criterion immediately follows the diameter designation. In Optima cartridges, these two numbers are separated by a slash. The number 1 means that there is only one needle in the module, 3 means three needles, etc. The choice of the number of needles depends on the type of permanent makeup work and the area where pigment is applied. When using the hair technique on eyebrows, cartridges with one needle or a bunch of the thinnest needles are preferred, which provide exceptionally fine drawing. But when creating a contour on the lips, it is recommended to switch to modules with 3-5 needles to create a natural line of the red border of the lips.

In a word, the finer the work to be done and the more refined the strokes should be, the fewer needles should be in the cartridge or the denser the bunch.

Classification by type of soldering

This criterion indicates the configuration of the location of the needles in the commissure

  • RL (Round Liner). Regardless of the number of needles, in cross section the commissure looks like a circle. At the ends the needles are gathered into a bundle. This configuration is used most often in tattooing and is ideal for creating clear contours, strokes and lines.
  • RS (Round Shader). In adhesions, the needles are arranged in the same way, in a circle, but the ends of the needles are spread apart. This adhesion is used for smooth, uniform shading of pigment in the skin.
  • MG (Magnum). In shape, such soldering looks like two parallel rows of needles, staggered in relation to each other (M1) or parallel (M2). The first configuration is used for shading and gradients, and the second for creating dense shading.
  • FL (Flat). The needles are placed in one row, in one line. This configuration is suitable for creating clear, even lines or for lining, on which fine strokes will subsequently be formed.

Classification by other criteria

Since permanent makeup involves techniques different from tattoos, as well as working with more delicate areas and sensitive skin, Kwadron has developed an additional classification system. It allows you to more accurately select cartridges and needles, taking into account the individual characteristics of the client’s skin, the desired tattoo result, etc.

  • ST (Short Taper), MT (Medium Taper), LT (Long Taper). These designations indicate the length of the sharpening (the length of the point's taper). As a standard, needles marked ST mean sharpening length up to 1.5 mm, MT - in the range of 1.5-2 mm, LT - 3 mm. But for greater selection accuracy, additional values are also used, such as US - ultra-short sharpening, in which the tip length is less than 1.5 mm. Thanks to this, you can work with unemphasized, almost blurry strokes and dots, which are important for creating a natural effect.
  • PT (Point Taper). This designation indicates a double-sided type of sharpening of needles, and additional sharpening on the tip itself. Such needles are used to form a clear “path” for the pigment when creating detailed elements (drawing hairs on the eyebrows, for tattooing the eyelids, etc.).
  • T (Textured). These needles are polished using a special technology, which simultaneously ensures smoothness of the steel (for minimal trauma to the skin and the precision of the master’s work), but at the same time leaves a special texture on the surface of the needle. Microscopic roughness on the needle plays the role of “storage” of pigment, due to which more of it penetrates the skin.
  • CF (Curved Flat). This is a separate configuration in the Optima series, which is designed for microblading. The needles are collected in a moderately dense bunch with a “cut off” lower contour. This form of soldering allows you to work with precision in the hair technique and perfectly recreate the natural growth of the eyebrows.

In addition to the criteria already listed, you should add Quadron cartridges with a membrane. This component of the modules, although it does not play a significant role in the tattooing process, is very important for protecting the tattoo machine from biomaterial and pigments that inevitably fall on it during operation. A thin diaphragm 100% protects the “insides” of expensive equipment, which significantly increases its service life.

Advantages of OPTIMA cartridges

Exceptional quality and impeccable reputation are words that sound beautiful, but often there is nothing behind them other than attempts to attract buyers. This does not apply at all to Quadron products, and the base of thousands of grateful tattoo artists who have their own databases of grateful clients is reliable proof of this. Any equipment or materials from this manufacturer are truly 100% reliable and absolutely comply with the parameters specified by the manufacturer. If we translate this into concrete facts, then the advantages can be listed:

  • Perfect balancing of needles in cartridges. Thanks to the unique stabilization system of the module, backlash of needles and their vibrations are practically eliminated. This ensures exceptional precision of the master's movements.
  • High-precision sharpening of needles, which ensures precise and clean application of pigment into the skin - blurring of contours or migration of dye “due to the fault” of the cartridge is simply excluded.
  • The use of exclusively high-quality materials - from the grade of steel for the needles, to the strength of the polymers for the body - everything meets the highest quality standards.
  • Huge variety of cartridge types. The Quadron assortment, which includes more than 80 module configurations, can be selected for absolutely all types of permanent makeup work - from dense shading to shading and microblading. At the same time, the correct choice of one or another model allows you to improve the quality of work when tattooing on dry, aged, problematic or other skin.
  • Compatible with most tattoo machines and holders. For a practicing master, this means a significant reduction in costs for equipment and comfort: at any time you can replace a cartridge of one configuration with another or with a module from another manufacturer.
  • The company attaches great importance to the microbiological purity of its products. Each module is individually packaged and treated with ethylene oxide, which ensures 100% sterility. And the thin and elastic membrane serves as a reliable barrier for particles of skin, blood, pigment, etc., which, if they get into the machine, can not only shorten its service life, but also create a permanent source of infection.

So, now you know about the key features of this brand and its products. And even if you are used to using modules from another manufacturer, be sure to try Optima from Kwadron. This is not just a consumable material for a tattoo artist, but another opportunity to increase their level of professionalism and provide clients with even more impressive results.

And you can always buy Quadron cartridges or any other products from this or another company in our online store.
